REPTILE SERIES
CORAL SNAKES
Coral snakes are generally described as being poorly understood. Nature identifies this species of snakes as dangerous with bright, elaborate markings. The animal kingdom inherently understands the bright patterns as warning signals. This symbolism struck Marshall. After extensive research in conjunction with reptile experts at the Bronx Zoo, Marshall knit all 68 members of coral snakes worldwide. Snakes in this classification (shared w/ cobras, mambas and sea snakes) all feature extremely dangerous neurotoxin venom which labels them with a mystic and often fearful identity to humans.
